Moving on….

Life changes us. We can choose to change with the seasons or to hibernate like bears in the winter. As those of you who read my blog in the 2020s know, my husband passed away during COVID-19, not from COVID-19, but from old age. If you lost a loved one during that time, for any reason, you know it was a devastatingly lonely time. My heart goes out to you.

For a long time, I ignored my writing. The time wasn’t right. But I joined a new writing group a little over a year ago. The group writes from prompts. I have never been one to write from prompts. It has always intimidated me. I needed time to write, perfect, and rewrite again. But it was just what I needed. Every week, I meet with people like me who must put pen to paper or fingers to keyboard regularly. We share our stories, poems, and other messages. We gasp, laugh, and cry. And I find I am laughing a lot more now.

If you are suffering, please find a group where you can gasp, laugh, and cry.

It has been so long since I have posted that I will now see if I can figure out how to post to my WordPress account. Wish me luck.
